The TAA project begun in 2011 being committed to supporting the emergent artist generation of Romania and took shape following the meeting between AnnArt Gallery and EBienale – a parallel event of the George Enescu International Festival.

Starting from the impressive (through its diversity and innovation) portfolio presented by the curator Ilina Schileru in Encrypted Message show in Sala Palatului’s foyer, in the frame of our White Wall programme we decided in 2011 to open a group show featuring 12 young artists that caught our attention and which we decided to name TAA, bringing them together in a collective which we believe has a future: Andreea AlbaniMatei AvramescuȘtefan BandalacAlice BîrcăMihai BonciuMircea CiutuAna-Maria HulubanMalvina IșfanAndrei MateescuIoana NicoarăDimitris PaladeIoana PioaruCorina RaiciuConstantin RusuMircea Teleaga.

In 2014 the second edition of TAA took placem bringing together 40 works – photography, video, experimental drawing, mixed media and painting, signed by 11 young artists. All of them recent, shown for the first time created for this occasion.

Following, many of the TAA artists had solo or group shows at AnnArt, taking advantage at the same time of a permanent wall space in the frame of the gallery, The White Wall (Matei Avramescu, Constantin Rusu, Alice Birca, Andreea Albani, Mircea Ciutu și Andrei Mateescu).

“We want to bring into the art lovers’ and collectors’ focus the natural gesture of exploring the beginnings in the work of young artists of indubitable promise of value. This is why we offer “the emergent” a platform of important public visibility seldomly available to them.”
