Alexandru Dascălu (b. 1993, Focșani) is a visual artist based in Bucharest and a graduate of the National University of Arts, where he studied under Professor Aurel Vlad. His sculptural works, predominantly made of metal, explore themes such as revolt and the alienation of the individual in contemporary society. Through kinetic forms and fragmented portraits, Dascălu reflects on the transformation of the human being into a resource, with the scream becoming a symbol of a fundamental reaction to this condition. Through his artistic practice, the viewer is prompted to reconsider the relationship between personal identity and the external world.
