Birds is, rigorously speaking, the artists first solo-show; from here on, Ilfoveanu will be one of the creators promoted by AnnArt Gallery. The exhibition reunites a group of 15 artworks in bronze, wood and stone, exhibited inside our gallery, as well as outside, in AnnArt’s garden space.

With this occasion, the AnnArt Foundation is launching Green Art program, which will focus on installing artworks in public and private spaces, facilitating in this way, a direct informal rapport between the public and contemporary art. An important segment of Art in Green Spaces, also a premiere in Romania – is the creation of alternative spaces for temporary exhibitions of contemporary art, inside private residences in Bucharest or its suburbs. As such, Art in Green Spaces makes its debut through the support and generosity of Sorin Roșca-Stănescu’s family, by exhibiting Adrian Ilfoveanu’s sculptures in open air, at their residence in Siliștea-Snagovului. Also, through a partnership program, AnnArt Foundation will exhibit sculpture pieces in the Herastrau Park and on the lawns neighboring the gallery, in the Kiseleff area, in association with The Romanian Peasant Museum, and The Geology Institute.

The exhibition comes together with a bilingual catalogue, with photo-series by Steluta Rosca-Stanescu. The opening event, with the unveiling of a monumental piece by Adrian Ilfoveanu, takes place Friday May 4, at 18 hrs, in Silistea-Snagovului, and the exhibition can be visited at AnnArt Gallery until September 4.
