The exhibition reunites painting, drawing and etching artworks, and it represents chapter V of Seven Story Tales with Stefan Caltia project initiated by Galeria Posibila. The curator of the exhibition is Adrian Buga, who made a selection of artworks, with great symbolic intensity, from the collection of The Royal House of Romania, in Săvârşin and from the Elisabeta Palace.
The exhibition also includes the projection of the film În grădina Majestății (In His Majesty’s Garden), shot especially for this event, at Şona and at Săvârșin by Victor Velculescu and Daniel Constantinescu.
Apart from the exceptional meeting with representative artworks from the royal collection, I am glad that our public of collectors will be able to see, for the first time ever, new works by Stefan Caltia, as well as the impressive series of 91 etchings with flowers and herbs – one for each year of King Mihai’s age. We will be showing these artworks, delicately floating on special sheets of paper in an uncommon installation, alongside the etching plates, with the drawings carved in zinc.
